چکیده
This research evaluates the removal of nutrients by microalgae in different photoperiod cycles, combined with constructed wetland wastewater treatment plant University Santa Cruz do Sul, RS, Brazil. The used took place between July and December 2018 consisted following steps: preliminary treatment, secondary an anaerobic reactor, tank (MT), sand filter wetland, using macrophyte Chrysopogon zizanioides. In tank, three light cycles were considered: 12h/12h, 24h 18h/06h, whose lighting was powered a white LED lamp 9 Watts 6000 Kelvin, regulated controller. results indicated that there no significant differences (p>0.05) values soluble phosphorus, ammoniacal nitrogen, COD BOD for MT comparing (12h/12h, 18h/06h). However, system setup removed 100% total coliforms, E. coli TSS cycles. Regarding organic matter, cycle best performance 24-hour cycle, considering 67.6% 94.0% 63.7% 42, 7% BOD, at end process. These demonstrate use combination has greater efficiency nutrients, mainly phosphorus addition to reducing physical-chemical parameters eliminating effluent toxicity.

Investigating the efficiency and kinetic coefficients of nutrient removal in the subsurface artificial wetland of Yazd wastewater treatment plant
Background: Investigating the performance of naturally operated treatment plants may be due to the fact that they cannot be operated as desired, or that they should be modified to achieve good performance e.g. for nutrients removal. The advantage of kinetic coefficient determination is that the model can be adjusted to fit data and then used for analyzing alternatives to improve the process. Th...
متن کاملNutrient removal efficiency by floating macrophytes; Lemna minor and Azolla pinnata in a constructed wetland
The use of constructed wetlands for purifying pre-treated wastewater is a cost effective technology that has been found to be more appropriate for many developing countries. The technology is also environmentally friendly with the wetlands being habitats for many water birds and other aquatic organisms. This study assessed nutrient removal efficiency of two floating macrophytes (Lemna minor...
متن کاملMicroalgae Cultivation in Wastewater for Nutrient Removal
Wastewater is the spent or used water containing dissolved or suspended solids such as pollutants and microbes, including nutrients. The wastewater discharged into the water bodies are hazardous to environment and cause various health problems in human beings. Eutrophication is one such major environmental problem caused due to the discharge of nutrient rich wastewater into the nearby water bod...
متن کاملRemoval of Mercury from Wastewater Using a Constructed Wetland
Removal of mercury from municipal wastewater using a constructed wetland was studied. Wastewater, wetland plant, and sediment samples were analyzed using an advanced mercury analyzer AMA-254. Average concentrations of total mercury in inflow and outflow water were 0.157 and 0.057 μg L−1, respectively. Significant fraction of mercury (38.2 %) was removed from wastewater during pretreatment. Merc...
متن کاملWastewater Treatment with Vertical Flow Constructed Wetland
Water is one of the most important elements involved in the creation and development of healthy life. Haphazard disposal of untreated wastewater from households as well as institutions and industry is causing severe deterioration of water bodies in many urban areas in the developing world. There are several methods to treat the municipal wastewater for intended use. One of the methods of the tr...
